A díjat olyan TDK témavezető kollégák kaphatják meg, akik a tehetséggondozásban eredményesek, legalább egy, a tárgyévi vagy korábbi OTDK-n I., II., vagy III. helyezést elért dolgozat témavezetői, a tárgyévi OTDK-n bemutatásra kerül legalább egy általuk témavezetett dolgozat, és a díj odaítélésekor még nem töltötték be a 41. életévüket.

The Kyoto Prize is Japan's highest private award for lifetime achievement in the arts and sciences. It is given not only to those that are top representatives of their own respective fields, but to "those who have contributed significantly to the scientific, cultural, and spiritual betterment of mankind"

The Donald E. Knuth Prize is a prize for outstanding contributions to the foundations of computer science, named after Donald E. Knuth.

Presented annually by the American Mathematical Society, the Steele Prize is one of the highest distinctions in mathematics. The prize was awarded today at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Diego, California.
