The MTA-Rényi-ELTE Mathematics Didactics Research Group, led by Csaba Csapodi, was one of the winners of the 2025 application of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Public Education Development Research Program. The application aimed to improve student understanding through methodological support for mathematics teachers and teacher candidates.

András Gilyén, a mathematician at the Rényi Institute, also won a grant in this year's MTA Lendület Programme call for research groups.

Tibor Kapu is investigating a new tracking method during the Hungarian space mission in the framework of the HUNOR programme - the sensors tested by the Hungarian research astronaut are also used in medicine, robotics, and video games. The results of the experiment, designed by a mathematician at the Rényi Institute, could be useful for space navigation, coordination of space assets, docking and maintenance work, Népszava reports.
